Position will be based at Women's Aid refuge on Avenue Road Dundalk. Duties include working as part of a dedicated team providing a range of supports and services to women who have experienced domestic violence and who are resident at the refuge. This could range from basic admin support/help with application forms/reports to helping and assisting with other support programmes/events or simply providing emotional support for service users as they aim to re-build trust and self-confidence. This is a wonderful development opportunity for anyone interested in a career in social care as full in-house support, mentoring and training is provided. There is also the opportunity to avail of funded professional training up to major award level which can significantly improve long term career prospects in this field.
