Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Relief Chef to join our team, providing high-quality catering services in healthcare facilities across the Tipperary area. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents by preparing nutritious, delicious meals while ensuring full compliance with food safety and dietary standards.Key Responsibilities:

Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare meals tailored to residents’ specific dietary requirements, focusing on nutrition, taste, and presentation.
Kitchen Operations: Oversee the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food service.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict hygiene standards in line with HACCP guidelines and healthcare regulations.
Collaborative Service: Work closely with dietitians and healthcare professionals to meet residents’ medical and dietary needs.
Menu Development: Contribute to creating diverse, balanced menus, including support for special dietary requests.

What We’re Looking For:

Garda Vetting: Mandatory for all applicants (coordinated by Excel Recruitment).
Manual Handling Certification: Required; training can be arranged if not currently held.
HACCP Certification: Essential; a solid understanding of food safety procedures is required (training available if needed).
Full Driving Licence: An advantage due to travel between site locations.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with both residents and healthcare teams.
Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
