The Cork design center plays a key role in the development of advanced analog and mixed-signal IP that underpins onsemi's next-generation semiconductor platforms, including the Treoâ„¢ platform.Role Overviewonsemi is seeking a Graduate Analog Design Engineer to join our Cork-based design team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong academic foundation in electrical engineering, a passion for analog circuit design, and a curiosity-driven mindset-particularly around the emerging use of AI in engineering workflows.You will work on the design, simulation, and verification of analog IP blocks used across the onsemi Treo platform. Comprehensive on-the-job training and structured mentoring will be provided to support your technical and professional development.Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and development of analog and mixed-signal IP blocks for the Treo platform
  • Perform SPICE-level simulations of basic and intermediate analog circuits (e.g., amplifiers, bias circuits, references)
  • Analyze circuit behavior across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners
  • Apply a strong understanding of MOS device physics to make informed design trade-offs
  • Support debugging, verification, and documentation of analog designs
  • Collaborate with senior analog designers, layout engineers, and digital teams
  • Explore and adopt AI-assisted tools and techniques to improve productivity, insight, and design quality
  • Continuously learn and grow through mentoring, technical reviews, and hands-on project work
Qualifications:Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or a closely related discipline
  • Master's degree preferred, particularly with a focus on analog, mixed-signal, or semiconductor design
  • Intern-level or equivalent relevant experience in analog or IC design (industry, research, or academic projects)
  • Thorough understanding of MOS device physics, including operation, scaling effects, and variability
  • Hands-on experience running SPICE or SPICE-based simulations (e.g., Spectre, HSPICE, LTspice)
  • Solid understanding of basic digital circuits (e.g., logic gates, flip-flops, timing fundamentals)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills and Attributes
  • Exposure to analog IC design coursework or thesis work
  • Familiarity with CMOS process technologies
  • Basic understanding of layout-aware design concepts
  • A natural curiosity and enthusiasm for using AI in engineering, data analysis, or automation
  • Willingness to ask questions, learn from feedback, and continuously improve
