€20kYou will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of complex electrical services installations within cutting-edge data centre environments, from tender stage through to final account.This critical role requires a strong understanding of the intricate electrical systems and critical power infrastructure unique to data centres, excellent contractual knowledge, and a meticulous eye for detail to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest industry standards.Tender & Pre-Contract:Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings specifically for data centre electrical packages to identify commercial risks and opportunities.Preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing for complex electrical services within data centres (e.g., HV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generator installations, switchgear, earthing and bonding, lighting, containment, structured cabling, fire alarm, security, and building management systems).Assisting in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders tailored for data centre clients.Carrying out value engineering and cost-saving exercises, considering the critical nature and resilience requirements of data centre operations.Post-Contract & Project Management:Managing project costs from inception to completion, including forecasting and reporting for data centre electrical installations.Preparing, submitting, and agreeing monthly valuations and payment applications.Managing variations and changes to the scope of works, including pricing, negotiation, and agreement, particularly those arising in dynamic and fast-paced data centre environments.Preparing and agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.Procuring and managing sub-contract packages for electrical works, including drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and managing payments, ensuring adherence to data centre project timelines and quality standards.Attending project meetings and providing commercial input relevant to data centre electrical works.Maintaining accurate and comprehensive commercial records.Identifying and mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle, with a focus on mission-critical data centre considerations.Financial & Reporting:Preparing regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and profit/loss statements specific to data centre electrical projects.Monitoring project budgets and identifying any deviations.Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.Relationship Management:Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers within the data centre construction ecosystem.Collaborating effectively with the project management, mechanical, and engineering teams, understanding the unique demands and integrated nature of data centre projects.RequirementsDegree in Quantity Surveying4+ years of professional experience with proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and Clients in relation to Valuations, Variations, Final Accounts and cost reportingDisplays through understanding of specifications, bills of quantities, and drawingsDisplays high capability of extracting quantities from drawings and issuing enquiries to sub- contractors and suppliers to ensure that accurate quotations are received within specified time framesComputer literate in Microsoft Office and other Quantity Surveying PackagesProven track record in Commercial / Industrial ProjectsDemonstrates excellent budgetary responsibilityExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to provide and explain accurate reporting.Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities at once.Self-starter and ability to organise the workday around assigned activities and priorities with minimum supervision.Must be highly flexible with a high level commitment to success.Ability to work successfully as part of a team with wide variety of individuals demonstrating effective interpersonal skillsPackageSalary €50k -
