Castle Group, T/A Castle Ceilings and Partitions Ltd are seeking experienced Drywall Fixers to join our team at our premises at Galway Technology Park, Parkmore, Galway, H91 P9CK Ireland. The successful candidate will install plasterboard systems to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications. You will work closely with site supervisors and other trades to deliver high-quality finishes on time. The salary range starts from €36,605 (18.05/hr) to €54,000 (26.63/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Salary offered shall be based on relevant experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Measure, cut, and install metal stud frameworks in accordance with technical drawings. Measure, cut, and install plasterboard/drywall panels as per project specifications. Fix boards to metal or timber stud frameworks. Configure and install suspended metal-framed ceilings, including slabbing. Configure and install suspended tile & grid ceiling systems. Configure and install concealed suspended tile & grid ceiling systems. Apply jointing, taping, and finishing techniques where required. Follow all site health & safety procedures and company policies. Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery. Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Drywall Fixer or similar role within construction or fit-out. Strong understanding of plasterboard systems, metal stud frameworks, and ceiling installations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. High attention to detail and quality of finish. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines. Requirements 5-10 years' proven experience as a drywall fixer or plasterboard installer. Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings. Strong practical skills with a focus on accuracy and finish quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic English preferred (not mandatory if working under a bilingual supervisor).
