EmployersScientific RecruitmentWorkforce SolutionsSectorsExpertiseUK USLaboratory TechnicianJob TypePermanentLocationMeathSalary€30000.00 - €45000 per annumJob RefBBBH166431_1755698037Date AddedAugust 20th, 2025Consultantnigel olearyI'm currently seeking an ambitious Laboratory Technician for a 12 month contract role, with potential for permanency, at a site that is currently ramping up it's production.As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's operations by performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses. Your expertise will ensure the quality and safety of their products and processes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on samples from operations.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, microscopes, and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers.
  • Perform chemical analyses using techniques like atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectroscopy.
  • Record and interpret test results with precision, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records and reports.
  • Assist in developing and implementing laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support and expertise.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment, including AAS, ICP, XRF, and other relevant methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
