• Welcome and seat guests, ensuring a warm and professional first impression
• Present menus, make informed recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages
• Take accurate orders and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with fine dining standards and etiquette
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine selections
• Ensure tables are properly set and the dining area is clean and well-presented
• Process payments accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assist in side work duties such as polishing cutlery and glassware

• Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and attentive demeanour
• Strong communication abilities in English, both verbal and written
• Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service standards and fine dining etiquette
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic maths skills for handling financial transactions
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems
• Food safety certification (e.g., HACCP) preferred
• Wine knowledge or sommelier certification would be advantageous
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages
