We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager on behalf of a popular firm in West Cork. This is a permanent position offering a very competitive salary and significant career progression.The Role:As Practice Manager, you will lead a team of qualified and trainee accountants, and ensure the delivery of exceptional service to our clients. This is a key leadership role requiring a balance of technical competence, commercial awareness, and people management skills.Manage a portfolio of SME clients, delivering accounting, taxation, and advisory services.Act as a trusted advisor, identifying value-add opportunities and supporting business growth.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.Lead, mentor and develop junior and senior staff.Allocate work effectively across the team, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.Support training and professional development of staff, including those studying for ACA/ACCA/CPA qualifications.Oversee workflow planning, resource management, and internal quality control procedures.Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives.Monitor billing, recoverability, and financial performance of the department.Ensure internal controls and regulatory standards are upheld.Support the firm’s adherence to GDPR, AML, and professional codes of conduct.Requirements:Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in a public practice environment.Previous management or supervisory experience essential.Strong knowledge of Irish tax and accounting regulations.Proficient in accounting softwareStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Commercially astute with excellent client service orientation.Please click the link below to apply, call Ray Brennan on 0830528677 or alternatively send an up to date CV to ray.brennan@peglobal.net***Please note our client cannot assist with any visa sponsorship and candidates must have the correct visa to live and work in Ireland***
