We have a truly exciting opportunity for a bright Finance Assistant with an International Law Firm with exciting growth plans.Location: Dublin 2You will work closely with the Finance Manager supporting the day-to-day payables, reconciliations, journals and month end close processes.We are looking for a passionate individual, self-starter, good with numbers and happy to get involved with process improvements.

Core exposures & responsibility
  • Ownership of Day-to-day accounts payable administration; input posting of multi-currency supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding.
  • Administration of weekly payment runs for all supplier invoices
  • employee expenses and client disbursements.
  • Daily monitoring of account payable mailbox
  • Point of contact for all supplier relations
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Reconciliation and posting of office credit card.
  • Review supplier invoices, disbursements, and employee expenses
  • Daily bank reconciliations; reconciliation and posting of all bank receipts and payments.
  • Compilation of Month end Bank rec summaries for Office & Client Account
  • Liaising with central Credit Control team
  • Assist with monthly inter-office reconciliations.
  • Preparing accounting journals for posting
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of prepayments and accruals
  • Data collection and reconciliation of bi-monthly VAT returns
  • Preparation of ad hoc WIP, billing, timekeeper reports
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with improving efficiencies within the department in order to maximise service to the firm.
Person Specification & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-5 years accounts experience
  • Law firm experience (an advantage but by no means essential)
  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards work
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage day to day activities.
  • Good MS Office skills including Excel.
  • Ability to stay calm in often demanding situations.
  • Proven ability to deal with confidential matters.
  • Able to work as a team member and proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail
