- To maintain HACCP standards in food handling and hygiene.
- To understanding the requirements to maintain food and kitchen hygiene including all kitchen ware.
- To maintain high standards of cleanliness in your kitchen, dining room and sitting room space.
- To maintain stock control and cleanliness of your pantry, kitchen area.
- Ensure all equipment is in clean and in good repair and presentable.
- To take full responsibility for your role in running the following, food service, neat & clean kitchen, dining and sitting room areas assigned to you.
- To be aware of the environmental standards required and use your initiative to address or escalate any issues that arise.
- Be responsible for reporting any Health & Safety concerns identified in your house.
- To understand resident’s needs and requirements, respect the resident’s rights and choice.
- To provide meals and drinks on time during meal service and as requested by residents throughout the day.
- To undertake any other duties as required to maintain efficiency in the smooth running as delegated by your line manager or manager on duty.
- To help maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors through awareness of health and safety policies and by attending training as required.
- To attend the necessary training appropriate to your role, food service and cleaning of the area.
- Duties include, any duties associated with preparing and serving meals, cleaning up after meals and maintaining the kitchen dining & sitting room areas in your house to the standard required by BrĂdhaven.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work both as a team member and use your own initiative.
- Must be prepared to attend education & training to ensure you have knowledge and skills to perform your duties to a high standard.
- Be willing to carry out the necessary duties assigned by your line manager or manager on duty.
- Elder care experience
- Excellent communication skills
