- Provide expert clinical advice and support to nursing staff on complex care issues.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures based on current evidence-based practice.
- Lead and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate and mentor nursing staff through formal and informal teaching sessions, in-service training, and individual support.
- Act as a role model in the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, residents, and their families.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional development of the nursing team.
- Participate in research and service development activities.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Significant post-registration experience, with a strong clinical background in a relevant specialty (e.g., gerontology, dementia care).
- A relevant postgraduate qualification in Clinical Nursing or a related field.
- Demonstrable expert clinical knowledge and skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
