- Promote EHS Ownership: Actively encourage EHS ownership among managers and support continuous improvement through training, awareness activities, and collaboration.
- ISO14001 Management: Maintain and enhance the ISO14001 Environmental Management System, ensuring effective implementation and compliance.
- Performance Reporting: Provide senior management with regular EHS performance reports and KPIs, including internal and regulatory metrics.
- Training and Development: Manage, develop, and provide EHS training to all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Sustainability Programs: Lead sustainability programs, including energy usage, waste management, and other impact reduction initiatives.
- Customer Assessments: Manage customer sustainability assessments, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), and other product environmental evaluation tools.
- Document Control: Maintain robust document control and EHS management systems to support transparency, traceability, and compliance.
- Complex EHS Issues: Manage complex EHS issues, ensuring solutions meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure EHS policies, procedures, and company safety statements comply with regulatory requirements.
- Incident Management: Support the EHS accident and incident management process, including investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Risk Assessment: Lead and manage the risk assessment program.
- Legal Compliance: Stay updated with relevant legal changes and ensure timely compliance.
- External Audits: Represent the company during external audits or inspections and liaise as required.
- Regular Audits: Conduct regular audits/inspections to measure EHS compliance with site procedures and legal requirements.
- Quality and Environmental Management: Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system.
- Additional Projects: Handle additional projects and ad hoc duties as required.
- Level 8 Degree in Environmental Health & Safety is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years' health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment, with medical device experience being preferable.
- Proven experience in managing and delivering sustainability and environmental initiatives aligned with EHS objectives and compliance frameworks.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues across all departments.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily work routine to meet established schedules.
