The main duties and responsibilities of the CAD / REVIT / BIM Engineer are outlined as follows:
  • Manage the production of multi-discipline coordinated models, drawings and schedules.
  • Align design development with the project BIM execution plan-which would include regular coordination and model checks and sharing of model data throughout the design team.
  • Liaising between Mechanical & Electrical Designers and Civil & Structural Designers
  • Production and maintenance of MIDP throughout the project.
  • Participation in drawing/design reviews and facilitation of feasibility studies.
  • Liaising with project teams to ascertain project needs and timelines for same.
  • Taking instructions from Engineers and producing drawings with limited supervision or direction
  • Use initiative and knowledge to support the CAD team and grow expertise in the use of CAD software and other tools

The prior knowledge, skills and experience required of the CAD / REVIT / BIM Engineer are outlined as follows:
  • 3rd level qualificationin Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Building Services Engineering or Strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification.
  • Aminimum of 3+years'experience within a BIM Co-ordination function.
  • Mechanical or Electrical background and have a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to short deadline
