We foster transparency, accountability and ownership, enabling our team to act with urgency and deliver meaningful outcomes for investors and partners.Join us as we reshape access to private markets and unlock new opportunities for wealth managers and their clients.About the RoleTitanbay is seeking an experienced private markets investment professional to join the firm in a senior oversight capacity focused on portfolio construction, manager oversight, and governance of alternative investment strategies.This individual will play a key role in overseeing the investment activities of Titanbay’s fund structures and underlying private market strategies, with particular focus on semi-liquid investment structures and direct alternative assets including private credit, real estate, infrastructure and other real asset strategies.The role is designed for an investment or portfolio management professional with strong private markets expertise who either:
  • currently holds the Central Bank of Ireland PCF-39B / Designated Person – Investment Management designation, or
  • is capable of assuming this responsibility as part of the role.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, investment partners and governance committees to ensure the firm maintains robust investment oversight, strong portfolio governance and regulatory alignment.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Oversight & Portfolio Governance
  • Provide independent oversight of the investment activities and portfolio construction of underlying private market strategies.
  • Monitor the performance, risk profile and liquidity characteristics of semi-liquid and private asset portfolios.
  • Review and challenge investment managers, strategies and portfolio positioning to ensure alignment with mandates and investor expectations.
  • Conduct ongoing manager oversight and due diligence, including evaluation of strategy evolution, team changes and operational developments.
  • Monitor portfolio diversification, risk exposures and liquidity frameworks across investment structures.
Designated Person – Investment ManagementAct as the Designated Person responsible for the Investment Management managerial function under the Central Bank of Ireland’s framework, where applicable.
  • Ensure the firm’s investment oversight framework meets regulatory obligations, fund documentation and internal governance policies.
  • Maintain robust documentation, reporting and oversight of investment managers and delegated functions.
Valuation, Risk & Liquidity Oversight
  • Oversee the valuation frameworks for private and hard-to-value assets, including review of independent valuations and pricing methodologies.
  • Ensure appropriate liquidity monitoring and stress testing frameworks are in place, particularly for semi-liquid strategies.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure investment risks are identified, monitored and managed appropriately.
Governance & Board Engagement
  • Prepare and present investment oversight reports to the Board and relevant governance committees.
  • Provide insight into portfolio performance, emerging risks, market developments and macroeconomic considerations.
  • Support senior leadership on strategic asset allocation considerations and product governance.
Qualifications & ExperienceWe are looking for a candidate with deep experience in private markets investing or portfolio oversight, ideally gained within an asset manager, investment platform, multi-manager environment or institutional investment team.Key experience includes:
  • 10+ years’ experience in investment management, portfolio oversight or alternative investments.
  • Strong experience across private market asset classes such as private credit, real estate, infrastructure or private equity.
  • Experience working with fund structures and delegated investment managers.
  • Solid understanding of semi-liquid or evergreen fund structures is highly desirable.
  • Experience holding or being approved for a Central Bank of Ireland PCF-39B / Designated Person – Investment Management role, or the capability to assume this responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to investment oversight, including AIFMD and CP86.
