Excel Recruitment are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef on behalf of our client for a large corporate catering operation in Limerick.This role requires a chef with proven leadership ability who can inspire, manage, and develop a busy kitchen team while maintaining the highest food and service standards. Requirements of the Head Chef role

Previous experience managing in a busy kitchen environment
Valid work permit with documentation
Proven track record in running a high-volume kitchen operation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills.
A passion for food and service, with the ability to lead by example.
Excellent attention to detail
Computer literacy

Responsibilities of the Head Chef role

Take full responsibility for the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
Lead, motivate, and mentor the team, creating a positive and professional working environment.
Set clear standards and expectations for food quality, consistency, and presentation.
Develop innovative menus that balance creativity with customer needs.
Oversee ordering, stock control, and cost management to achieve financial targets.
Drive and enforce compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
Support and collaborate with the Executive Chef in delivering catering excellence.
