The role by its nature is quite varied, meaning that participants will get an opportunity to engage with lots of different types of people. The below list includes - but is not limited to - the types of activities that participants can expect to support: Opening and closing of the Tourist Office Meeting and greeting visitors to the Tourist Office Directly communicating with the public on local attractions, events, and activities. Taking bookings and money for events hosted by the Ballina Chamber of Commerce. Accurate record keeping; Promotion of Ballina and the North Mayo Region Ensuring stock of literature and maps are always replenished. Professional approach to customer service General office administration Answering telephone and taking messages Dealing with Email queries and re-directing same Provide support to the Ballina Chamber of Commerce activities. The candidate will be requested to wear a uniform for this position. Weekend work will be required on a rota basis. Ad hoc duties as they arise.
