Team: Reporting to Maintenance Manager, working alongside 2 Maintenance TechniciansA leading food manufacturing business is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its on-site engineering team. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient performance of production equipment and utilities.This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on preventative maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of production and utility equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed.Conduct inspections, calibrations, and scheduled maintenance checks.Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.Maintain plant utilities, including compressed air, steam, and refrigeration systems.Liaise with production teams and external contractors to ensure smooth operation and service delivery.Keep accurate maintenance records and ensure thorough shift handovers.Uphold a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.Ensure all work is compliant with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.Report any critical issues or risks promptly to the Maintenance Manager.Requirements:Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred.Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.Familiarity with PM systems and computer-based maintenance logs.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.Commitment to safety and compliance in a regulated environment.At Quorum Search Partners we respect your privacy.
