Pre-Litigation Claims Handler

• Managing a portfolio of motor, property, and personal accident claims during the pre-litigation phase, ensuring a tailored strategy for each case whilst effectively controlling claims costs.
• Supervising a high-volume portfolio of claims to achieve prompt and proactive resolution, alongside timely processing of personal accident claim disbursements.
• Responding to inbound calls from customers and claimants regarding new claims, furnishing requested updates via telephone.
• Providing counsel on the claims procedure and advising policyholders on requisite steps, protocols, and criteria.
• Logging claims, setting initial reserves, inputting data, and confirming receipt of claims.
• Engaging experts from an approved panel of service providers and instigating claim investigations.
• Identifying and escalating claims involving severe injuries, substantial losses, or other notable characteristics.
• Identifying any absent or supplementary information necessary for advancing claims and pursuing acquisition.

• Minimum APA qualified, ideally working towards CIP.
• Previous relevant experience handling claims within the General Insurance Industry.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Analytical and decisive, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Proficient in Word, Excel & Outlook.
