We source and supply a range of thousands of products to customers including hotels, restaurants, Caterers, Delicatessen's, and public sector organisations such as hospitals and hotels.A look into the roleOur Business Development Manager will thrive on a target driven approach to sales, possess a dynamic approach to developing new business and account management and have a passion for delicious food.Covering a territory of Greater Dublin this fast paced and versatile position will take the lead on developing new sales leads within their area. The BDM will work with large, high value accounts, demonstrating credbility and expertise to their customer. If you are a motivated, results orientated individual who has a proven track record in FMCG sales or an experienced Chef then this exciting opportunity is tailor made for you.As Business Development Manager, you will:
  • Strategically grow the Henderson Foodservice share of major Accounts across the Dublin City Centre region establishing the Company as a first-choice partner in food service within the Irish marketplace.
  • Build a pipeline of new business targets across key sectors and categories.
  • Convert targets into opportunities and demonstrate ability to win new business.
  • Recruit new customers on a regular basis that deliver high revenue and margin.
  • Manage a range of customer accounts and establish collaborative customer relationships.
  • Conduct effective and insightful presentations to customers, building the Henderson Foodservice brand.
Skills for SuccessJoining us as Business Development Manager the minimum criteria you'll need is:
  • A minimum of two years' Field Sales experience within a Foodservice, Wholesale or FMCG environment .
  • Proven record of achieving performance KPI's, sales and margin budgets within a new territory.
  • Proven ability to convert new business sales within relevant time targets and developing solid pipeline opportunities.
  • Experience of pricing and margin including ability to calculate and balance across ledger mix.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • A current EU driving licence.
