- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead kitchen operations during service, ensuring smooth, efficient delivery
- Step in to manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
- Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal changes
- Maintain strong attention to detail across all sections
- Supervise, train, and motivate junior kitchen staff
- Help foster a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen culture
- Lead by example in attitude, work ethic, and standards
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie
- Experience in a fast-paced, quality-driven restaurant environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and during busy services
- A genuine passion for food, learning, and teamwork
