Title: Intermodal Sales Manager
Location: Dublin City
Terms: Full-time permanent, office-based, Mon-Fri, normal hours
Package: €65-85k + Car + Pension + 25 Days HolsA leading European intermodal operator is looking to expand their commercial team with the appointment of a Sales Manager for Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Key Accounts, you will be based in the Dublin office and work in close collaboration with the local business unit teams in Europe. Within this challenging role, you will develop the presence of the brand in Ireland and build a customer portfolio by proactively sourcing new customers and expanding the current accounts.Key responsibilities:
  • Develop the brand and build a sales pipeline by proactively sourcing new customers.
  • Create value within the current customer portfolio, increasing the volume and profit in the existing accounts.
  • Actively scan the market for business opportunities to complement the Company’s growth strategy.
  • Cultivating new sales leads by intensive networking, representing the company at different levels (fairs, commercial representations ...) and visiting (potential) customers to sell their full services portfolio.
  • Identify and map the market potential, considering the business needs as defined by the internal divisional stakeholders.
  • Travel throughout Ireland and occasionally other parts of Europe when required.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years European transport industry experience with at least three years in a business development role.
  • Relevant logistics education and/or experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the Irish transport industry.
  • Excellent commercial and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills with a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • A flexible professional with a positive attitude and the ability to demonstrate “outside of the box” thinking.
  • A team player.
