Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of SAP Commerce Cloud Operations to lead the operational management, optimization, and support of our SAP Commerce Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris), strong leadership capabilities, and a results-driven mindset. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our digital commerce infrastructure while driving innovation and operational excellenceKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead day-to-day operations and support SAP Commerce Cloud environments.
Establish and enforce SLAs, KPIs, and incident response protocols.
Ensure high availability, performance, and uptime of the commerce platform.
Collaborate with business, product, and IT leadership to align commerce operations with business goals.
Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for platform enhancements, upgrades, and operational improvements
Build and lead a team of engineers, DevOps professionals, and support staff.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation
Ensure compliance with data security policies, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and audit requirements.
Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning for the platform
Drive automation of deployment, monitoring, and support processes.
Lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis of system issues
Comfortable working in internationally distributed teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) management.
Proven track record of managing large-scale digital commerce operations.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk), and automation frameworks.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
ITIL or similar certification a plus.

Nice to Have:

SAP Certified Development Specialist – SAP Commerce Cloud.
Experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.
Agile or SAFe delivery model experience.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. Role may focus on executing a large and very complex/complicated process. Accountable for performance, results and staffing. Knowledge of all areas within sub-function(s) derived from experience in non-management and middle-management roles allowing for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas within the function.SUPERVISION:Direct and control activities through several managers or senior professional level staff who have responsibility for the operation of the assigned area and/or process or system.INTERACTION:Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers/stakeholders. Ability to negotiate with customers or management and influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance. Build personal networks to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.MANAGEMENT DUTIES:Can hire, terminate, or promote and is aware of higher-level functional issues and concerns.
