Fitter - 3 Day Week | Medical Device Manufacturer | CorkCREGG Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading global medical device manufacturer in Cork, currently seeking a Fitter to join the Maintenance Technician team.Qualified Level 6 Trade ApplyThis is a unique opportunity to work a 3-day week while enjoying an excellent shift premium - giving you more work-life balance without sacrificing earnings.To apply, contact Mark at or 086 1901346.The RoleReporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key part in ensuring equipment runs at peak performance. Using your electrical and mechanical expertise, you'll keep high-tech manufacturing lines running smoothly, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.What You'll Be DoingDelivering planned preventative maintenance.Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment - both planned and unplanned maintenance.Driving root cause analysis to implement lasting fixes and minimise downtime.Supporting Line Support teams to maximise machine uptime and output.Using trouble shooting and fault finding improve equipment performance.Partnering with engineers and value streams on projects to eliminate recurring issues.Contributing to 5S + Safety and continuous improvement initiatives.Reporting effectively on maintenance activities and equipment status.Ensuring full compliance with GMP and FDA standards at all times.What You BringA Level 6 Qualification (trade or relevant discipline).Strong electrical and electronic repair/diagnostic skills.Mechanical problem-solving expertise, with experience in pneumatics.Previous manufacturing experience (medical devices, pharma, or regulated industry an advantage).Knowledge of GMP; cleanroom experience beneficial but not essential.Proficiency with computers and maintenance systems (CMMS).A collaborative mindset, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.Why Join??
