Reception Duties: Secure opening and closing of Askea Parish Centre. Greet visitors and parishioners warmly and professionally. Always keep centre clean & tidy including communal areas. Answer phone calls and provide information or direct inquiries to appropriate staff members. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of centre activities. Prepare reports and presentations as needed. Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of centre events, including meetings, and social gatherings. Book venues, arrange catering. Oversee event logistics, such as seating arrangements, audio-visual equipment, and signage. Support fundraising initiatives by assisting with promotional materials, and event coordination. Maintain the centre's social media presence and website. Create and distribute marketing materials, such as newsletters and flyers. Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parishioners and community members. Represent the centre at community events and meetings. Ideal Candidate: Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and people skills. Organisational Abilities: Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Proficient in Technology: Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic and willing to take initiative. Team Player: Ability to collaborate with colleagues and volunteers. Some evening work involved based in Askea Parish Centre
