Overview:Sisk is seeking a Data Protection Specialist to join our team and support the Data Protection Manager in ensuring compliance with global data protection laws and regulations. This role plays a key part in safeguarding personal data and maintaining the trust of our clients and employees. The successful candidate will contribute to data governance, provide operational support, and help strengthen awareness and accountability across the organisation. Responsibilities:Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining data protection policies, procedures and guidelines in line with GDPR, the AI Act and other applicable frameworksSupport the handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) along with requests for rectification, erasure and other data subject rights inquiriesConduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) for projects and new initiativesMaintain accurate records of processing activities (ROPA) through data inventories and mapping of data flowsAssist in the development and delivery of training and awareness programmes to strengthen data protection culture across the businessSupport the Data Protection Manager in managing data breaches and security incidents, including documentation and reporting to authorities where requiredPartner with IT, HR, Compliance and other teams to embed data protection into operational practices and new projects Experience:Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data protection, privacy, compliance or governance rolePrevious experience in administration, compliance or risk management with interest in privacy may be considered with on-the-job learningStrong understanding of global data protection regulations including GDPRFamiliarity with technology and IT security principlesExperience supporting multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong drafting ability with experience preparing guidance, policies or business communications Qualifications:Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional teamHigh attention to detail with ability to deliver pragmatic, actionable adviceProfessional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT are highly desirableDegree in law, business, IT or a related discipline would be an advantage but not essential Additional Information:At Sisk we are committed to protecting the privacy of our people and partners.
