
DevOps/MLOps Architect

- Work with the customer to develop a scalable, secure and robust DevOps/MLOps framework to meet the business needs
- Establish and document best practices, standards and governance for the operation a Kubernetes based container platform in a large-scale environment.
- Act as the primary technical authority and evangelist for DevOps/MLOps in the customer organisation, championing a culture of automation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Assist the customer develop CI/CD pipelines for Software Development and Machine Learning, ensuring reproducibility, auditability, and traceability
- Supporting multi-stack development teams on each stage of the SDLC.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of DevOps/MLOps Engineers.
- Oversee the work of the engineering team, ensuring architectural integrity and quality standards are met.
- Assist in and developing DevOps/MLOps talent within the organisation
- Supporting automated deployments, release planning and troubleshooting in both non-prod and prod clusters.
- Coordinate Regular patch updates to Kubernetes, base images and node management in a controlled and automated process.
- Assist with Route, Ingress, Service and networking troubleshooting on Kubernetes software defined network.
- Monitoring support and effective service uptime management in a 24 X 7 based environment.
- Demonstrable experience, supporting multi-cluster OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
- OpenShift cluster administrative operations, such as scale nodes, upgrades, and granting permissions to users and groups.
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles and lifecycle, with willingness to learn and develop MLOps principles and skills.
- Configure OpenShift namespaces, network policies, resource quotas, and node selectors.
- Observability tooling, with strong experience working with Prometheus, Grafana ELK and related technologies.
- Kubernetes Operators life-cycle management, custom resource configuration and upgrades.
- Route, Ingress, Service and networking troubleshooting on Kubernetes based SDN.
- Experience supporting underlying infrastructure components for TCP/IP networks eg DHCP and DNS services.
- GitOps management for deployments, configuration and state management for clusters.
- CI/CD automation and industry standards for DEVOPS principles.
- Work in agile based environments, with the ability to analyze and report incidents proactively, seeking continuous improvements.
- Kubernetes storage support with file, block, PVC, Object Storage. Knowledge of Ceph, Noobaa, ODF, OpenShift Container Storage or related.
- BSc in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years as a DevOps technical lead / Architect
- 5+ years experience with Linux systems administration and networking
- 5+ years experience supporting Java (or similar) based development teams.
