- Hold an RNID qualification and be currently registered and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Applicants from other nursing disciplines with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of intellectual disability may also apply.
- Hold a recognised accredited management qualification.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within health or social care, with responsibility for managing budgets and resources.
- Demonstrate experience in staff support, leading teams, resource management, and performing administrative duties.
- Be knowledgeable of the Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HIQA Regulations (2013).
- Possess a working knowledge of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse Policy.
- Be committed to delivering a quality, individualised, person-centred service.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Have experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in health promotion, manage health conditions, and deliver high quality clinical practice.
- Leading the implementation and maintenance of high-quality care standards in line with HIQA regulations.
- Ensuring robust risk management, incident reporting, and safeguarding procedures.
- Supporting staff development, compliance monitoring, and continuous quality improvement.
- Driving person-centred planning, promoting autonomy and social inclusion for all residents.
