Role Overview

Reporting to: Person in Charge
Contract Type: Full-time
Working Week: Average of 42 hours a week, (day and waking night shifts required)
Location of Work: Borris-in-Ossory

Role Responsibilities

Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice
Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.

Essential Requirements

Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies
Hold a full Irish driving license (to drive a company car, when required)
Prior experience in social care or healthcare desirable but not essential
Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
Excellent English essential (verbal and written skills)
Garda Vetting/Police Clearance
