- Lead and coordinate the shift team to ensure safe, reliable operation of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
- Act as a primary point of contact during the shift for alarms, events and operational escalations.
- Monitoring customer assets to maximise efficiency in line with contractual terms.
- Providing professional, concise communications to a variety of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Support and develop the shift team in their role and duties, identify training and competency requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local H&S laws/regulations regarding occupational Health & Safety training.
- Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
- Escalate risks, equipment defects and performance issues to Senior Management as required.
- Producing reports detailing asset availability and performance patterns.
- Maintain accurate records of all tasks undertaken on the monitoring tool and asset management system (CMMS).
- Working efficiently in an SLA (Service Level Agreement) driven team environment.
- Ensure the site's environmental conditions, provide a safe work environment.
- Adhering to all applicable company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
- Mentoring and training of new team members.
- Plan, manage and adjust the shift rota accordingly ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
- Motivate the team to allow successful navigation of valuable and relevant objectives.
- Manage, monitor and track OpEx budgets assigned to the team, ensuring spends are aligned with operational priorities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a shift-based operational team within a critical environment.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong and effective communicator.
- Good understanding of Operational budgets (OpEx).
- Competent person with experience of working on High Voltage (HV) systems in an operational and/or maintenance environment.
- Familiar with Maintenance Management Programs (CMMS)
- Familiar with SCADA systems or similar
- A degree in a suitable Electrical/Energy (or closely related) engineering discipline.
- Completed a recognized tradesperson apprenticeship or craft qualification (electrical discipline)
