- Assume accountability for the health and safety of our employees across our sites driving improvements across all areas of production while developing processes that help promote a strong health and safety culture and reduce our accidents
- Ensure that the strengths and values of O'Brien Fine Foods are further reinforced with best practice and integrity as key values of the business
- Develop inter personnel relationships to drive health and safety culture within the organization
- Develop relationships both internally (employees) and with key external (Safety bodies, government agencies, auditors, suppliers) stakeholders and develop a Health and safety polices and standards within our business
- Lead, coach and develop our teams on health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Organise and conduct health and safety training, including induction training, refresher training and manual handling
- Develops strong working relationships between employees and sites encouraging collaborative teamwork
- Develop training tools to drive awareness and implementation of health and safety initiatives
- Lead initiatives to increase and develop best practice safety solutions, ensuring that there is communication across the business and a mentality of continuous improvement
- Membership with IOSH to at least Graduate Level (Grad IOSH)
- Degree in Health and Safety or a related discipline
- 1-2 years' H&S experience working in a manufacturing environment (desirable, but not essential)
- Manual Handling Instructor (Desirable, but not essential
