- Lead the development, communication, and implementation of project health, safety, and wellbeing strategies in collaboration with the Project Director and project board.
- Support the development of safe systems of work and risk reduction measures for temporary and permanent works.
- Fulfil Project Supervisor for Design Process (PSDP) and Project Supervisor for Construction Stage (PSCS) duties, including development of Safety and Health Plans.
- Promote engagement in health, safety, and wellbeing through training, workforce consultation, and competency initiatives.
- Lead research into innovative technologies and best practices to mitigate risks.
- Manage and develop the project’s Health & Safety team, fostering continuous professional growth.
- Prepare and present comprehensive health and safety reports on project performance.
- Oversee compliance audits and inspections, cooperating with internal and external auditors.
- Contribute to emergency planning and ensure competent persons are appointed to manage incidents.
- Lead accident and incident investigations, implementing lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
- Assess and monitor the competence of supply chain partners, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain and manage health and safety training matrices, identifying and addressing project training needs.
- Maintain effective relationships with regulators, and other relevant bodies.
- Manage health and safety budgets as required.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety, or membership of IOSH.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction health and safety management.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in an airside environment.
- Fluent English (C1 level or above).
- Proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
- Understanding of commercial and procurement processes within construction projects.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 health and safety management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full EU or Republic of Ireland driving licence.
- Valid SOLAS Safepass card (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in risk assessment, method statement review, site inspections, investigations, and audit preparation.
