  • Schedule and Carry out Audits and Inspections
  • Inspections and Audit findings are to be uploaded to the Scheme Information Management System (SIMS).
  • Prepare reports outlining the findings of Audits and Inspections, audits and Inspections are to be risk based and are both announced and unannounced.
  • Inspectors should be available by phone or email to answer technical queries and provide clarification to all stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Point of contact for all technical queries
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled meeting weekly/monthly/quarterly
  • Assist the SSB Administration and Certificate validation team with queries and clarifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on building regulations etc. and advise inspectors accordingly.
  • At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, in line with the Company's policies and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance with the Company's Code of Integrity, and act in accordance with SGS Ireland's Equality & Diversity Policy
Qualifications
  • Relevant Third level qualification within Science/Engineering or Construction and/or equivalent Trade qualification within the construction industry
  • BER Building Energy Rating Qualification
  • Minimum 5 + years' relevant experience
  • Full clean drivers licence
Additional Information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Energy Auditor certification/experience, CEM etc
  • Strong knowledge of IPVMP, ISO50001
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • A detailed understanding of safety in installations
  • Process good judgement and fairness in applying the code
  • Must be dependable
  • Confident in assessing risks
