Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 10.7% of Hours WorkedOverview of the Post:To provide support to children to enable them to participate in the community, achieve person centred goals and facilitate inclusion. The Family Support Worker will provide practical, personal and social support to the individual they work with. Afternoon hours Monday to Friday, afterschool / school holidays on a return of hours basis as required.Please see Job Description for full listThe successful candidate will haveEssential Criteria:
  • QQI Level 5 major award in childcare or equivalent (we will consider applicants working towards full major childcare qualification or equivalent)
  • Have experience working with children/teens
  • Have experience of working with children with disabilities
  • Have experience providing personal care to individuals
  • Demonstrates excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrates good awareness of health and safety issuesDesirable Criteria:
  • Have experience of working with children in community/non-centred based and centre-based setting as Lone Worker and as part of a team
  • Have experience of working with children with disabilities and/or Autism
  • Access to transport and full clean driving licence
