Company:QT Technologies Ireland Limited## Job Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > ASICS EngineeringGeneral Summary:This position is based in our Cork office - onsite 5 days per week.Sensors-based technology offers extensive applications across various fields such as navigation, gaming, advanced user interfaces, multimedia, virtual reality, and augmented reality. This demanding role allows you to engage with advanced sensor technologies found in smartphones, IoT devices, wearables, smart glasses, and other types of consumer electronics. Job responsibilities encompass all stages of the product life cycle, from initial research and development through commercial deployment. The selected candidate will collaborate with systems, software, and integration/test engineers within the QCT Sensors Technology group.Job responsibilities include:
- Design and architect comprehensive end-to-end ETL data processing pipelines: ingestion, transformation, and delivery to Data Lake.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production data workflows.
- Support and manage worldwide data collection campaigns within Qualcomm staff and participate in the actual field data collection campaigns using mobile or wearable devices.
- Create scripts for data labeling, analysis, and summarization for diverse data collection initiatives.
- Creation, validation, maintenance, and documentation of “training, validation and test data sets” to support algorithm and feature development.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support development and commercialization of sensor algorithms and features.
- Strong programming skills in Python (3+), with professional experience using Pandas for data preprocessing and summarization.
- Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
- Fluency with Git / Git Hub and collaborative development practices.
- Demonstrated experience in creating, validating, maintaining, and documenting training/validation/test datasets, including automation of the workflows.
- Ability to work productively across Linux and Windows environments; comfortable with scripting/automation in Linux.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong written and verbal English skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced global team environments.
- Previous experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Graph API and Sharepoint APIs.
- Previous experience with NoSQL / Azure Cosmos DB.
- Strong programming skills with Matlab.
- Digital signal processing, probability and statistics, Machine Learning.
- Knowledge of MEMS & inertial, environmental, and physiological sensors and prior experience with associated characterization equipment.
- Basic understanding of wireless radios (Bluetooth, WLAN, GNSS, cellular), audio and camera sensors in mobile devices is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience with Linux Embedded, Android (Linux-based), Wear OS, Android XR, iOS, and Windows mobile devices.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
