At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team , We currently are recruiting for a Community Center Attendant to join our team at our Facility in Dublin 13Working Pattern Monday - Sunday Shift 20 Hours per weekMain duties and responsibilities
  • Provide a welcome and warm environment to all customers and visitors to the Centre and develop close working relationships with all Clients, Customers and Stakeholders, through excellent customer service and social skills.
  • Being a key holder and responsible for opening/closing of Centre safely and securely in line with the Centres’ procedures and ensuring on lock up that that all doors and windows are locked, and alarms are set.
  • Working with the Centre Manager/Centre Supervisor to ensure all Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines and met and maintained and that approved safe system of work (including Permit to Works) are adhered to.
  • Ensure standards/procedures are adhered to. and maintaining security of the premises in line with the Centre’s procedures.
  • Ensuring the security of the building/monitoring of CCTV and highlighting any out of line situations as a matter of urgency to the Centre Supervisor/Centre Manager
  • Answer the telephone and maintain and ensure that all messages are dealt with efficiently in a polite and friendly manner, whilst being aware of the different needs of individuals especially those who are first time users and those with special needs.
  • Taking messages and ensuring timely delivery of same to recipient
  • Ensuring all Clients sign in and out of the building and recording footfall. Leaflets/flyers/timetables etc. must be always kept plentiful and up to date at reception.
  • Carry out duties necessary on the premises as designated by Centre Supervisor/Centre Manager in line with the Centre’s schedules.
  • Prepare invoices for all user groups and send out at the end of each month.
  • Maintain accurate records of all user groups and pricing structures. Carry out any additional administration duties that may be required from time to time including updating timetables/social media pages/website etc.
  • Ensure that rooms are left ready for school/community use. Ensure safety procedures are applied when stacking tables and chairs and ensure that all user groups leave each room as they find it.
  • Liaise with all user groups regarding allocation of space etc. Ensure that no individual or group places equipment in the storage area without prior approval.
  • Ensure that filing/records are kept up to date and held securely.
  • Ensure all accidents/ incidents are dealt with and recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in line with the Centre’s procedure and reported to the Centre Supervisor/Centre Manager.
  • Ensure the appropriate emergency services are contacted and liaise with them on arrival (if Centre Manager/Supervisor not on site) / Ensure that calm is always maintained.
  • Highlight any out of line situations.and flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the Centre(s).
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the Supervisor/Manager
Qualifications and experience
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be fluent in English language ▪ Be computer literate.
  • Have a positive, friendly, outgoing disposition and display a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Full driving licence and own transport an advantage
