On behalf of our client, a well-regarded building contractor based in Connacht, we are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of a high-value, high-profile construction project in the West of Ireland. Initially, this is a project-based role, where the successful candidate will take overall responsibility for managing a full project team, ensuring the successful delivery of a high profile project. This is a key senior appointment within the business, with long-term permanent work across the region and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of a flagship construction project, managing it from mobilisation through to handover
Lead a full site-based project team, including project managers, site managers, engineers, foremen, and subcontractorsEnsure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safetyLiaise with clients, consultants, and company directors to report on progress, risk, programme, and performanceOversee project planning, resource coordination, and contract administrationUphold strong commercial oversight, in collaboration with the commercial and QS teamsProvide leadership, support, and mentoring to site-based personnelEnsure full compliance with company procedures, statutory regulations, and industry best practiceRequirementsProven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a main contractor in IrelandDemonstrable experience managing residential and/or hotel projects, preferably of high value or complexityAbility to lead multi-disciplinary teams on-site and maintain a proactive, solutions-focused mindsetSound knowledge of Irish building regulations, contracts, and compliance standardsExcellent organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skillsThird-level qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferredFull clean driving licenceWhat’s on OfferA permanent senior role with a respected and progressive contractorImmediate opportunity to lead a high-profile, high-spec projectAttractive salary and benefits package, in line with experienceLong-term project pipeline in the Connacht regionSupportive management structure and career advancement potential
