- 16 hours/week in Clinic: Deliver comprehensive medical care to Level 2 rehabilitation patients, focusing on recovery, discharge planning, aliasing with the families and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- 10 hours/week in Clinic/Telemedicine: Provide ongoing medical support and clinical oversight to long-term care residents, ensuring continuity of care and addressing chronic and acute health issues.
- Deliver medical care to adult residents with intellectual disabilities and mobility issues, supporting both preventive and responsive healthcare needs.
- Liaise closely with nursing, allied health professionals, and care staff to ensure holistic care plans are in place and maintained.
- Perform medical assessments, reviews, and documentation in line with best practice and regulatory standards.
- Prescribe appropriate treatment and medication, manage chronic conditions, and respond to acute medical needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, physiotherapy, social work, and occupational therapy.
- Participate in care planning meetings and family consultations where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate medical records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health legislation and clinical governance protocols.
- Medical degree
- Active IMC Registration (Irish Medical Council) (essential)
- Medical Indemnity Insurance. (essential)
- Eligibility to Work in Ireland
- Minimum 3 years postgraduate experience in Ireland (essential)
- Clinical experience, preferably in family medicine, rehabilitation, geriatric care, or disability services. (desired)
- Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Empathetic, patient-focused approach with a commitment to quality care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across different care settings.
