Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Project Manager to join a leading energy contractor delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across Ireland. The initial project will be based near Tramore, Co. Waterford, with approximately 20 months runtime, and may run alongside or transition into additional projects in the region.Following an initial onboarding period, there will be flexibility to adopt a hybrid working model where suitable.The successful candidate will take full responsibility for project delivery from early planning stages through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget. This role offers strong continuity of work, exposure to multiple projects, and clear long-term progression opportunities.Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Lead full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to handover
  • Manage programme, budget, and overall project performance
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Monitor project progress and report to senior management regularly
  • Oversee procurement, materials, and resource planning
  • Maintain strict adherence to HSEQ standards and procedures
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively
  • Drive quality control and ensure high standards across all works
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management roles
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ and project compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets and programmes
  • Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel if required
