- Partner with HR and external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in line with local country requirements
- Manage month-end payroll activities, including journal preparation, accrals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Take ownership of assigned countries, developing a deep understanding of local payroll and compliance requirements
- Implement and maintain robust controls and reconciliations, ensuring all variances are identified and explained
- Lead and facilitate payroll-related meetings, providing clear communication to stakeholders
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external agencies
- Oversee employee and payroll tax payments, ensuring full compliance with local statutory requirements
- Maintain and enhance documentation, including process flows, procedures, and control frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across payroll and accounting processes
- Manage payroll queries via ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and documentation
- Liaise with external providers on complex payroll scenarios (e.g., expatriates, international assignments)
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring integrity and accuracy of payroll data
- Contribute to project-related initiatives as required
- Strong experience in payroll accounting, including reconciliations and financial reporting
- Proven experience managing or auditing multi-country payroll operations
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel (essential)
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimisation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across global teams
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities
