About the Role:We are currently hiring an experienced and motivated Cook/Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated catering team in Wicklow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for cooking and food service in a supportive, community-focused environment.Kitchen Duties:Prepare, cook, present, and serve a range of meals for our society membersProvide guidance and support to kitchen assistantsAssist the Catering Manager with daily kitchen operationsEnsure high standards of food hygiene and health & safety are maintainedFollow HACCP guidelines and complete all required recordsControl portion sizes and reduce waste to stay within budgetClean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors according to daily and deep cleaning schedulesManage washing up and laundry tasks as neededRotate and clean stock in cold rooms, freezers, and storage areasHelp place stock orders when requiredDining Room Duties:Clear and reset tables after meals, replacing tablecloths as necessaryLoad and unload the dishwasher; dry and store utensils and dishesSweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness in serving and wash-up areasEnsure hygiene standards are upheld at all timesEmpty and disinfect swill bins and manage waste disposal properlyCompetencies Required:Proven experience as a cook, ideally in a similar environmentStrong understanding of HACCP and food safety practicesExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Attention to detail and a solid knowledge of food preparationA flair and passion for cooking good, wholesome foodWhat We Offer:€17–€18 per hour, depending on experienceA supportive and friendly work environmentStable, full-time hoursOpportunities for professional developmentIf you’re a reliable and enthusiastic kitchen professional ready to contribute to a valued community-focused team, we’d love to hear from you.You can apply today to take the next step in your hospitality career.
