Duration: PermanentQuantity Surveyor – Medium Sized Main ContractorA Quantity Surveyor is required for a medium sized main contractor with projects in the Midlands, Dublin and North Leinster.Projects are generally heavy industrial/commercial located generally the Midlands, Dublin and North Leinster.The role would suit a QS based in the Midlands/East Connaught, Dublin,Kildare or Southern Ulster.Locations will be site based with the possibility of 1 or 2 days per week working from a home office.On top of salary, you will receive Mileage, health insurance, car allowance, above average holiday entitlement and other benefits.Best to contact the recruiter Kevin Clair by sending your CV through this website or contacting Kevin directly on 00353872790484 or kevin@kcmrecruitment.ieYou will report to the Commercial Director within the company.Responsibilities:
Ensure close monitoring of all commercial aspects of your designated project
Monitoring and administering construction contracts and ensuring any risks to the company are highlighted and managed appropriately.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all project stakeholders.
Work closely with Project Managers and key members of the Site Management team
Lead/ coordinate negotiation of final accounts with clients and sub-contractors.
Review and understanding project contract documentation.
Preparing and analysing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
Monitoring change in our scope of work and pricing of variations.
Preparing and agreeing Monthly progress applications.
Financial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts.
Issuing of contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims.
Preparation of monthly commercial project reports.
Managing and forecasting of project Cash flows.
Management of junior QS staff when appropriateRequirements
5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
Attention to detail and analytically proficient.
