- Ensure ongoing compliance with, HSE requirements, and all applicable Irish health and social care legislation and prepare for HIQA standards.
- Act as the main point of contact for regulators, commissioners, and external auditors.
- Prepare for, support, and manage regulatory inspections, audits, and reviews.
- Monitor changes in legislation, standards, and guidance and ensure timely implementation across the service.
- Develop, review, and maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with regulatory and professional standards.
- Ensure policies are implemented effectively and embedded in day-to-day practice.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation, records, and evidence for inspection readiness.
- Plan and carry out internal audits, quality reviews, and compliance checks.
- Analyse findings, identify risks and trends, and implement corrective and preventative action plans.
- Oversee incident management, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and notifiable events, ensuring appropriate reporting and learning.
- Support and advise management and care teams on compliance and professional practice matters.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of compliance-related training, including safeguarding, governance, and professional standards.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Identify compliance and clinical governance risks and support mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to organisational risk assessments and business continuity planning.
- Ensure data protection, confidentiality, and professional conduct standards are upheld.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish homecare regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex compliance requirements.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, advise, and challenge practice constructively.
- Analytical, organised, and solution-focused approach.
- High level of professional integrity and judgement.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Professional qualification as a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
- Experience preferable.
- Strong understanding of homecare service delivery in Ireland.
- Experience working with HIQA standards and inspections.
- Qualification or training in quality, compliance, audit, or risk management.
- Management or leadership experience within community or homecare services.
- Travel to branches and care locations as required.
- Flexibility to support inspections, audits, or urgent compliance matters.
- Regulatory inspection outcomes and compliance performance.
- Completion and effectiveness of internal audits and action plans.
- Reduction in compliance-related risks, incidents, and repeat findings.
