The candidate will assist and gain practical experience in the following: • Assisting with day-to-day use of a cloud-based Warehouse Management System (Extensiv 3PL WMS) • Supporting operational checks across order source and integration middleware (Dropstream, Extensiv Integration Manager, techOMS) • Assisting with validation of shipping and carrier integrations using techSHIP • Supporting routine system and order checks under supervision • Running and customising reports using Microsoft Report Builder • Assisting with IT security checks, including antivirus monitoring • Setting up and configuring Android scanners, barcode scanners, printers, and Windows PCs • Supporting mobile device setup, email configuration, and Zebra Enterprise Browser installation • Creating and updating IT documentation, tutorials, and process guidesRole Description This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is required. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP. The participant will receive formal/informal training and mentoring in the following: Informal Training (On-the-Job & Mentored) • Understanding how warehouse systems, integrations, and shipping platforms work together in a logistics environment • Learning how orders flow from eCommerce platforms through middleware into the WMS and shipping systems • Developing awareness of common system and order issues and how they are identified and escalated • Learning best practices for basic IT security, including antivirus monitoring and multi-factor authentication awareness • Developing practical knowledge of handheld devices, scanners, printers, and workstation setups • Building documentation, process-mapping, and knowledge-sharing skills within an IT operations team Formal Training WPEP QQI Work Experience Module Health & Safety in the workplace. Candidate will be supported in any other training needs identified.
