- Provide senior technical and automation operational support to the Manufacturing team onsite.
- Performs investigation of manufacturing deviations and anomalies related to automation and software.
- Presenting and communicating status, report metrics, identify potential issues, improvement initiatives, as applicable.
- Manages small projects related to corrective action or equipment performance improvement.
- Implements software/hardware changes and upgrades, understands impact of actions to Manufacturing process.
- Programs PLC and HMI application for automated process equipment, capable of troubleshooting and demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and controls.
- Implements modification/change control procedures and protocols.
- Supports Validation Department with initial design review, software testing, and protocol review.
- The candidate must have strong experience with:
- Rockwell/Allen Bradley automation systems.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) level experience with PLC and HMI systems.
- Strong overall PLC experience at all stages of the automation process is essential.
- Proven knowledge and experience with one or more of the following will be an advantage:
- Network Architecture (Including industrial network protocols)
- ISA-88 / PackML and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Vision Systems (Cognex Vision Pro)
- Lazers
- Robots (Epson, Fanuc & OMRON)
- Visual Basic (VB)
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Ignition
- The following are essential:
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of GAMP principles, systems implementation and validation concepts.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- GMP environment is a must and only candidates with this experience can and will be considered.
- Candidates must have a level 8 degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic or automation discipline.
- Strong problem-solving skills and work well as part of a team or on their own initiative.
- 7+ years’ automation systems experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices or life sciences manufacturing environment - only candidates with this experience can be considered at this time.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration and communication skills, strong attention to detail and able to communicate and present effectively to various levels of leadership.
- Ability to think logically and be proactive.
- The ability to be onsite daily is essential. Some remote working may be available, but the role is designated onsite and requires a full-time onsite presence. Therefore, you must be able to commute daily to the site.
