In operation for over 25 years the company are the number 1 company in their market segment supplying the likes of Aldi, Tesco, Dunnes, Musgraves etc. Employing over 300 people the company have a great reputation with product quality at the centre of everything they do.YOUR NEW JOBAs Production Manager you are responsible for the production performance as measured by core metrics of safety, quality, cost, line efficiency and people management.Day to day some of your key responsibilities in the Production Manager job will include:.

Lead, motivate and develop supervisors. Provide direction and coaching, carry out 1to1’s and performance reviews.
Manage daily 5S, H&S, Quality and Food Safety compliance.
Manage weekly staffing rota and daily labour allocations to optimize factory efficiencies.
Manage KPI’s as agreed with management to control production costs.
Ensure shift start-ups and handovers (RTG) are effective.
Use IT systems to communicate and monitor production.
Improve skill level on lines through training and development of operators.
Manage production attendance, monitor trends, and ensure return to works (RTW) meetings are held to the required standard and follow up on any actions.
Engage with employees on issues of concern and uphold the principles of respect and dignity at work.
Support HR
Problem solve operational issues in a structured manner.
Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activity and lead teams in CI projects.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUIn the Production Manager job you will working in a commercial FMCG environment and as such my client is targeting people from a similar background. You’ll be an experienced people manager and skilled at developing your people/teams.
