- Independently validate pricing, valuation, and experience study models, assessing design, assumptions, inputs, outputs, and performance.
- Produce clear, high-quality validation reports; communicate findings to stakeholders; and track remediation actions to resolution.
- Support and enhance the model risk management framework, including model classification and inventory maintenance.
- Prepare model risk reports for senior management and contribute to governance committee discussions.
- Collaborate with actuarial and business teams to provide challenge, oversight, and guidance on model development and usage.
- Contribute to broader risk management activities, including reviews of new transactions, risk strategies, and ad hoc projects.
- Qualified actuary with 3-5+ years' experience in insurance or reinsurance.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to quickly grasp new modelling platforms or languages.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills with confidence to challenge stakeholders.
- High attention to detail; ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with R, Prophet, Excel/VBA is an advantage.
