Locations:
Letterkenny - Co. DonegalWe are looking for compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our healthcare team.Intellectual Disability Day Service based in LetterkennyWe currently have a vacancy for a full time and part time health care assistant in Letterkenny.Hours are 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00- 14:00 Fridays. Occasionally 8am start.You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, monitoring their condition and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care including personal care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.By submitting your interest, you are registering for future opportunities.   • Personal care- assisting with bathing/showering, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and continence requirements
  • General observations and updating patient records Providing support and encouragement to patients
  • Manual handling- using hoists/slide sheets
Requirements:
  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent – minimum 2 modules including Care Skills & Care of the Older Person)
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with behaviours of concern would be a significant advantage
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Manual Handling & Patient Moving Training (we can provide free of charge)
  • Safety Intervention Training( We can provide free of charge)
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
