Matrix Recruitment is partnering with a well-established client in the Carlow area to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician. This is a hands-on role in a busy industrial environment, ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, improving reliability, and working with modern electrical systems.Your New Job :As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring plant and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out hands-on electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on industrial machinery and equipmentWorking with 3-phase power systems, motors, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), and industrial control panelsReading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawingsCompleting planned preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce breakdownsResponding quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective repairsWorking with PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens experience desirable; programming knowledge an advantage)Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and best practicesMaintaining accurate maintenance records and documentationWhat We're Looking ForQualified Electrician with a recognised trade certification3-5 years' experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environmentStrong experience with 3-phase systems, motors, VSDs, and PLC-controlled equipmentProven ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical faults efficientlyExperience with both preventative and reactive maintenanceStrong fault-finding skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindsetA high level of commitment to health and safety compliance Apply for this job now by emailing your up to date CV to audrey@matrixrecruitment.ie or contact her on 051 511 720By applying, you are giving consent for Matrix Recruitment to contact you about this job.
