Not only do they have a fantastic reputation for staff retention, engagement and employee satisfaction, they are incredibly passionate about sustainable design, offering a wide array of engineering & sustainability solutions across the globe.Mechanical Design Engineer, Role RequirementsThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress to Engineer level and to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in Ireland and internationally.You will provide design input on a range of projects. Where appropriate (usually on smaller projects), You may act as lead engineer, and contribute to the co-ordination of input from other members of the design team, resource allocation and project management.Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities
  • Produce engineering designs, calculations and specifications, using appropriate software
  • Supervise the production of technical drawings and check output
  • Prepare technical reports in accordance with clients’ briefs
  • Attend and participate in (internal and external) project meetings
  • Undertake site visits to monitor the progress of works against specification, and highlight issues to the contractor, client and/or (internal or external) project manager as necessary
  • Co-ordinate input from other disciplines and specialisms as required
  • Where appropriate, represent the business as lead engineer at client / project meetings
  • Correspond with external third parties (eg clients, contractors, architects and/or manufacturers) regarding information and technical queries
