
Maintenance Technician

- Complete maintenance and calibration tasks through the site CMMS (PEMAC).
- Ensure regular scheduling of preventative maintenance procedures through PEMAC.
- Provide support to packaging operations on an ongoing basis
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and work performed.
- Be familiar with and adhere to Engineering department SOPs and those of other departments as relevant.
- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Read and interpret technical manuals and drawings proficiently.
- Support the Maintenance Excellence Programme by completing work orders correctly and adhering to the weekly schedule for planned maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues efficiently and effectively, then analyse and record using TPM methodology.
- Engage with continuous improvement projects.
- Identify and maintain spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using TPM methodology.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emergency repair situations.
- Liaise with the Quality Department on plant/structural requirements following hygiene audits.
- Attend morning production meetings to align with previous shift and plan for the day.
- Assist in troubleshooting automated equipment and associated systems in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Cert/Diploma/Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with CMMS systems, preferably PEMAC.
- Previous experince supporting packaging departments
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
- 2-3 years' experience in the food and beverage industry or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with TPM or continuous improvement methodology (desirable).
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of Ladder Logic and S88 Batch (desirable).
